Bulls Defend HMRC Winding-up petition

HMRC have petitioned to wind up the Championship club as they claim they are owed around £350,000 in taxes from the club whilst Bradford Bulls say they only owe £133,000. The former Super League champions have agreed to pay an undisclosed sum and the case is adjourned to be re-heard on 14 November 2016.

The chairman and owner of the club Marc Green has reassured fans that the club is not heading towards administration again following reports that the players had not been paid. The Bulls were placed in administration in 2012 and again in 2014 before Marc Green completed his takeover.

HMRC continues to take a robust stance against football, rugby and other sporting clubs that fail to pay debts owed to HMRC which could be VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax or other taxes that HMRC collects.
