Former Director presents Winding-Up Petition against RMJM

A winding-up petition against architects Robert Matthew Johnson Marshall (RMJM) has been filed at the Court of Session in Edinburgh by one of its former directors. The petition is set to be adjourned.

The winding up petition was lodged by the director who remains listed on RMJM’s webpage as a company director, but it is understood he has now left the company. The director sent a formal statutory demand to RMJM’s registered address seeking payment of the amount owed within seven days.

It is believed that the director is one of 25 current and former directors who claim they are owed around £170,000 in wages, expenses and bonuses .

A Court spokesman confirmed:

“There was a winding up petition lodged which will be heard at the Court of Session in Edinburgh.”

However, it is understood that the winding up petition will be adjourned as both sides attempt to reach a settlement.  A spokesman’s for RMJM said “the parties are currently in talks and the company received a petition on Friday for less than 6% of the amount claimed”.
