Southend United ordered to pay legal costs following dismissed petition

The winding up petition against Southend United Football Club that was listed for the High Court on Monday 18 March 2013 has been dismissed by the court.
As mentioned in our previous article on 20 February 2013, this was the football club’s fifth petition in four years and was a result of an unpaid tax bill.
Despite the petition being dismissed, the club were ordered to pay the legal costs.
