It was reported that Chief Registrar Stephen Baister adjourned the petition until June 30 on Monday after the clubs legal representatives informed the companies court that the club was purchased last week and the new owners are investigating their insolvency options including those of administration and a creditors voluntary arrangement (CVA).

The Chief Registrar of the Companies Court said that he would give the club until June 30 to ‘look into all those possibilities’.

Winding Up Petition

Hereford United FC faced a winding-up petition in court in London on Monday morning after failing to reach an agreement with former manager Martin Foyle.

Club officials have reportedly been trying to negotiate a settlement with Foyle, for money owed when he left in March. It is the third time in four months that they have faced being wound up.

In both previous cases, brought by Revenue and Customs (HMRC) over unpaid tax bills, the club found the funds to avoid being taken to court.
