Winding up Petition Withdrawn

The petition, served to the firm on 6 April according to a listing in the London Gazette, came after a “dispute with HMRC” said CEO Watkin Gittins.

The accountancy firm, which has offices across the United Kingdom, missed the 30 September 2014 deadline to file its accounts to 31 December 2013 and has made no filing since 31 December 2012. A 2012 winding-up petition against it was later dismissed after a short dispute with HMRC.

Gittins has said the holding company’s filings can be made “now the 2014 audits of the subsidiaries have been filed”. Montpelier has registered offices in Carlisle, Castle Douglas, Dumfries, Leeds, Newton Stewart, Preston, Stranraer and Fylde. On the petition its principle trading address is shown as Montpelier House in Manchester.
