Hartlepool United F.C have reportedly been issued another winding-up petition by Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) due to an unpaid tax bill. The club have confirmed that despite the petition all issues have been resolved and the bill has been paid.
Business as usual
It appears as though a bill that was due to be paid to HMRC by Hartlepool United F.C went unpaid for around 8 to 10 days. The club are insisting that it is business as usual despite the petition.
This is reportedly the second petition the club have received this year, however, the first petition was dismissed after the court heard that the unpaid bill was due to an ‘accounting software error’.
